for GCPS Math Tutorials to Support AKS

If you are interested in “previewing” next year’s curriculum or just need additional support for Integrated Algebra or Integrated Geometry, then this is the time to take advantage of this summer opportunity to reinforce Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS). These AKS have been put into a self-paced, interactive, online tutorial. These tutorials are just an additional support and are not required.
The tutorials contain explanations and self-checking quizzes for all AKS with step by step feedback when applicable. Students can repeat any portion as many times as needed to learn the content.
The tutorials are Internet-based, and can be accessed on any computer with Internet access. There is no grade attached to this course. There is no “teacher” to monitor your child’s efforts. However, directions, assignments, and examples are clear and thoroughly present the content. It will be up to you and your child to assure that he/she makes the best use of the resources.
The cost is $10/child/course.
Registration and payment is completed www.MealPayPlus.com May 9 – May 20. If you do not have an account, please register for a FREE account. For questions regarding the registration process once you are on the Mealpay Plus website, please call 1-877-237-0946.
The tutorials will be available to students from May 31 to August 7, 2011.
Beginning May 31st, students will access their course on https://gcps.desire2learn.com. The student ID number will be both their login ID and password.
For questions after you have registered, please contact your child’s current math teacher.
