Textbook Policy
It is the policy of Gwinnett County Public Schools to administer a system of maintaining and controlling textbooks, library books, and media materials. Recognizing these materials represent a sizable financial investment, the system will establish rules and regulations, as it deems necessary, for the care and protection of these materials. These rules and regulations may include, but are not limited to, any of the following sanctions against a pupil who fails or refuses to pay for a lost or damaged textbook, library book, or media material at the replacement cost:
1. Refusal to issue any additional textbooks, library books, media materials until restitution is made.
2. Withholding of all grades, diplomas, records, or certificates of progress until restitution is made.
3. Withholding/ withdrawing parking privilege.
Please Note: Books not turned in at the end of a semester/year class will be marked lost and the student will be
assessed the cost of replacement.
