REGISTRATION FOR RISING 9TH GRADERS
(school year 2012-13)

In an effort to inform you about your student’s high school experience, you are cordially invited to attend a parent information meeting on Thursday, February 2, 2012, 7:00 PM at Collins Hill High School in the Theater.

Instructional Coordinators will be speaking with you regarding their particular area - Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies,  and the differences between College Prep, Honors/Accelerated, Gifted and Advanced Placement Courses (AP).  Work expectations, graduation requirements, and placement issues will be discussed for your soon to be 9th grade student.  Timelines and criterion for registration will also be shared. You will have an opportunity to talk with Instructional Coordinators and teachers from elective areas including Physical Education, Technology Education, Fine Arts, and Foreign Language in which you are interested after an approximate hour long meeting.   There will be an opportunity after the meeting to make a $50 deposit for summer Community School HEALTH/PE if desired.

A meeting for parents of rising 9th grade Special Education students will be held on February 23, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the media center.
